Duke Kunshan University is known for its heavy curricula, with most of its students having to study till midnight. Thus, I have spotted people falling asleep at some unexpected places: in front of the laundry, on the couch in AB lobby, or even on a teamroom floor. This series of pictures uses a Kumamon costume to mimic those sleeping schoolmates, reflecting on their toughness and hardworking studying at DKU. All of the pictures are taken by me and modified for better presentation using Lightroom. Visit here for the original pictures.
A typical look of DKU students falling asleep when reading for the next-day’s class.
One of my friends falling asleep on the floor in a teamroom. This has left me realy strong impression, which pushed me to shot this series of photos.
Another one of my friend, who often fell asleep waiting for the washing machine, usually at 4 in the morning.
It is true that you can fall asleep even if you’re sitting.
The cozy couch in the AB lobby is always a good place for a quick nap.
These two pictures shows some other distinguished places to fall asleep at.
